SOMEONE’S BEEN WHERE YOU ARE…

Posted on with 6 comments

Today I lie on my bed; I am exhausted and tired, I feel out of options, I feel like giving up, so many things going through my mind; so I choose to fly away…How? I choose to look at the lessons and not the problems…I can choose to die today, I can choose to cry today, I can choose to give up today, but I won’t…Why? The fibers of my being derived from the heritage of my roots keep kicking and as such there is always a fight left in me. Someone has been where I am, someone had been where you are; and today they are smiling and telling beautiful inspirational stories. I see my story, I see my inspiration, I see tomorrow coming with the sun…I will not hide or run…I will not shrivel and die…Where I am is part of a great story…where you are is part of a great story…Please do not give up…I am here and I am just like you…the world might not work for us today, but someday it will…Do not embrace depression…Do not embrace defeat…When all the storms blow away, you will have a beautiful story to tell…I am where you are and I am writing for all the people in the world who are where I am…; tired, weak and struggling…Your warrior is alive…Don’t stop fighting…You are not alone…Someone’s been where you are….

(DEDICATED TO ALL THE UNSEEN/UNKNOWN WARRIORS OUT THERE: KEEP FIGHTING)

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

It was a bright day in a small town. This rich fellow was polishing his new ride. As he polished his car, his little son watched from a distance. The curious and adventurous kid decided to join daddy. The kid then got a stone. He got to the other side of the car and began writing. The screeching noise called his dad’s attention. His dad hurried got to the other side and like a flash lost his temper and hit the kid’s hand with his tool. The poor kid screamed as his hand bled out.

While at the hospital, the doctor informed the rich man his son’s fingers were badly damaged and had to be cut off. The man cried bitterly for his son. He felt so guilty. As they drove home after the little boy’s discharge from the hospital, this little boy said looking at his injured hand, “Daddy when will my fingers grow back?” His guilty dad was speechless. Once they got home, this dad got curious. He decided to go see what his son had been carving on his brand new car.

He was astonished to see, “Daddy I love you,” scratched on the car.

“My poor son lost his fingers for loving me,” the man cried. Unable to live with this reality, he took his own life.

How many people in our lives have we scared and hurt for loving us? Many times we unconsciously scar or hurt those who love us unconditionally because; we have wrong priorities, have anger issues, are not patient enough, or do not seek to know the details before acting towards a situation. If only this father had realize his son was more important than a car, if only he had his temper under check, if only he was patient enough to look at what the kid had done before acting…Love unconditionally

God bless!

Stay you!

CYCLE OF DEEDS

I have always loved the story of Winston Churchill and Fleming. Once upon a time, this poor farmer was off to his farms when he came across a drowning boy. Swiftly he jumped in and saved his life. Days later; the farmer had an unfamiliar visitor. This wealthy noble had come to thank the farmer for saving his son’s life. While the noble talked to the farmer, he noticed a boy feeding the hens.

“Is that your son?” the noble asked.

“Yes sir, that is my son,” the farmer replied.

“A boy like that should be in school.” the noble said.

So the noble decided he was going to send the farmer’s boy to school alongside his own son. Years passed and the two boys became great men who left their names in history. Winston Churchill the noble’s son became prime minister. Years into his Adult life, he fell very ill and was dying. It was then his friend Alexander Fleming (the farmer’s son educated by Winston Churchill’s Dad) discovered the miracle pill(penicillin) which saved Churchill’s life. Alexander Fleming left his name in the books of time.

Life is like a machine. It keeps recycling the things we do. If we put evil into it, it will be recycled and multiplied. If we put good in it, it will be recycled and multiply. All we do in this world sets up a chain of events we sometimes do not realize. The abused child, who abuses and grows a kid who later abuses other kids. There is a cycle of good which can be interrupted by evil and there is a cycle of evil which can be interrupted by good.

As we live our lives, we should be conscious of the chain of events our actions will create. If you are a victim caught up in a cycle of evil, you have the power to break that cycle by doing the reverse. Do not recycle evil. Sometimes we have to let go and forgive whatever wrong was done to us so that evil is not recycled. Be a contributor to the cycle of good…Lets spread our hands across the world with little humane acts which go a long way…

Feed the good inside of you!

God Bless!

Stay You!

ONE UNDER THE SUN

The world is one word,

One place

Held by a single cord

A beautiful fabric,

One of many colors

One race;

It’s called humanity

When the sun

Gazes on the earth,

It sees neither white

Black or brown

But the color of the world

The beauty of nature

And the purity

 Of humanity

The sun knows no color,

The rain no race

The wind whispers to all

Humanity is a beautiful rainbow

In love,

We must embrace

The difference

That yet makes us one

UNSUNG HEROES

We often honor the wrong people or may be the people we see. Do you know about giving honor to who honor is due? There are people out there I call the simple invisible hands of change. I call them like Troy Bolton in “high school musical” the “play makers” Our every day achievements will not exist if they are not around.

-         The farmer who tills the soil from dawn to dusk.

-         The hunter, diligent and patient.

-         The Clerk who knows very little but gives his work maximum devotion.

-         The truck pusher burning in the hot afternoon sun connecting the unreachable roadways to that which can be reached

-         The house maid humbly carrying out house chores.

-         The teacher who passes all he know to young diligent minds.

-         The street sweeper who loves what he does.

-         The carpenter who hammers all day.

-         The old lady who never lacks a wise word for a teenager.

-         Those people we never see or recognize
-The devoted and virtuous mother and wife
-The struggling father and provider

They do the simple things of life. They pave paths for great men to walk on. Without them these men won’t exist in the books of time. A good house, would you credit the builder or the owner? We “normally” credit the owner. Good hair-do, would we credit the hair stylist or the hair owner? He who owns the hair. We have got so used to crediting the player that we forget our simple peasant play makers.

It will do no justice if we leave them out on the honors list. This is for the simple people. The people pushed to the back for who they are. The misfits of society. The simple people. You are not worthless; poor or rich. You are a jewel to the world, if you can handle little things, then you are capable of handling greater ones.

Through the simple things of life, one gains experience. A farmer knows endurance. A teacher best understands patience. A clerk understands humility. A housemaid understands devotion. The old are wise. The simple people have nothing, but most people out of their globe want nothing. Every simple act has a great lesson. You are the tutor of those up there. As much as they manipulate you, you teach them how to lead. This is because in order to lead, you must follow. This makes you potential leaders. My dear simple pleasant people you are special. The world is indebted to you. You are special. You are the road paves, the path finders and foundation builders. You are light unseen. You are a remarkable shadow in the dark. The world don’t see you, but you exist. The world is what it is because of you. Keep up the great work.
